Organised Rides

Assembly area for all rides will be at the car park at St Joseph’s Mercy Theatre.

Departure time: 9.30 am each day

Ride Protocol: All organized rides will have a leader and tail end Charlie and a corner marker system will be used.

Ride 1

Out to Red Cliffs via Big Lizzie then to Farm Machinery Museum for morning tea, then Woodsies Rock Shop for lunch (both at cost)

Over the river to Wentworth to the Darling/Murray Junction and Jail.

Ride 3

Over George Chaffey Bridge to Olive Farm, then to The Inland Botanic Gardens, morning tea & lunch available at cost.

Ride 4

Hattah National Park to Robinvale Museum and lunch at Euston Club.

Ride 5

Red Cliffs to view “Cliffs” then to Policeman Bend lunch Nangiloc Tavern.

Millewa Pioneer Park via Calder Hwy. Lunch at Werrimull Pub, return via Angus Park (Fruit).

Old Mildura Winery for Tour and morning tea with proceeds being donated to a local school then off to Trentham Estate Winery for Tour and Lunch.

Self Guided Tours

Millewa Pioneer Village at Meringur is only 80km west of Mildura. The village is a well designed reconstruction of a turn-of-the-century village settlement set on 12 hectares of local bushland. To get there you go through Lake Cullulleraine which is part of the wheat-belt. After you have spent time checking out the village homeward bound through Werrimull, stop and have a drink at the local hotel and then on to Red Cliffs and back to Mildura.

Euston Club is a good ride down the Calder Highway to the Hattah store(70kms) turn onto the Hattah/Robinvale road, which takes you past large Almond plantations and into Robinvale, travel over their new bridge to Euston and have a great meal and a play on the pokies. The ride home is a short ride of 82kms.

Take a trip to Broken Hill or Pooncarie. Broken Hill is 300kms away with many interesting things to see. Mines, art galleries, many historic building. The silver Tree, The Living Desert & Sculpture Symposium. You can also visit Silverton, where several well known movies have been made.

Pooncarie is 117kms from Wentworth. It is a great ride with a good pub to quench your thirst before coming home.

Some of the other rides are to the Nangiloc Tavern, exploring all the back blocks around Red Cliffs, Stewart, Karadoc. Then travel via Dareton, Curlwaa, to Wentworth. At Wentworth there is the 2 Rivers Junction, the Lock system, the Old Wentworth Gaol and the Wentworth Services Club.

Leave Mildura and ride to Renmark in South Australia visit the Tower Tavern for morning tea while overlooking the beautiful Murray River. Then continue on to through Loxton, Pinnaroo and visit the Pink Lakes National Park and experience the magnificent colour of the Pink Lakes and surrounding countryside. Mount up and on to Underbool to a wide range of very tasty sit down meals and friendly country hospitality then on to Ouyen turn left and home to Mildura - Round trip 520 KM Fuel and refreshments are available on route.

From Mildura travel along the Calder Highway to Ouyen, turn left to Tooleybuc, and turn right to Swan Hill. When in Swan Hill visit the Pioneer Settlement and enjoy some lunch then drift back in time as you wander the Pioneer Settlement and check out the many examples of life from yesteryear. Then head off through Tooleybuc, Robinvale and Euston and home to Mildura - Round trip 453 KM. Fuel and refreshments are available on route.
