Welcome to Celtic Cruiser Country – Glen Innes

Glen Innes is located at the intersection of the New England and Gwydir Highways, which offer the best routes between Sydney and Brisbane and between the inland and the north coast of NSW.

Expect the spectacular in Celtic Country – Glen Innes encompasses a vast number of attractions, experiences, festivals, events including World Heritage national parks to some of the world’s richest gem and mineral fields.

Glen Innes celebrates its Celtic heritage with the annual Australian Celtic Festival held each year at the unique Australian Standing Stones.

Celtic Country’s distinctive seasons are unlike so much of the rest of Australia with naturally air-conditioned summers, log-fire winters, occasional snow, golden autumns and a dazzling spring season.

One other very special attraction is the area is so accessible, so relaxed, and so friendly.   We are justly proud of what we have to offer in our part of “Big Sky Country” and warmly invite you to share it with us.

The Glen Innes Celtic Cruisers hold our monthly meeting at the New England Club, 98 West Ave Glen Innes on the 1st Wednesday of each month.  Monthly rides usually leave from the Caltex Service Station, cnr of Church and Meade Streets, Glen Innes on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Each year the Celtic Cruisers host a “Meet and Greet” and “Show and Shine” bike show for all Ulyssians as part of the ‘Land of the Beardies” festival.   Last year over 200 riders participated in the street parade and enjoyed a very social and relaxing weekend.   Check our events page for full details on the “Meet and Greet” and the Beardies Festival activities.
